Peng Identity wasn't created to follow fashion.
It was created to question it.

My name is Damilola Onakoya, and Peng Identity was born from lived experience, not trends, not theory, and not hype.
For over two years, I worked closely with one of the largest clothing brands in the industry. From the outside, it looked aspirational. From the inside, it was eye-opening. I saw first-hand how quality garments were marked up far beyond what was fair — not because the product demanded it, but because the brand could get away with it.
That realisation stayed with me.
I grew up believing that quality clothing was something you had to overpay for, or simply go without. Confidence, self-expression, and well-made pieces felt reserved for those who could afford inflated price tags. Over time, I realised the problem wasn’t the cost of making good clothing — it was the system around it.
Peng Identity exists to challenge that.

Peng Identity is built on a simple belief:
